Brian Anderson has been one of my favourtie pro skaters ever since I saw his legendary part in Toy Machine’s “Welcome To Hell” video, he won Thrasher Magazine’s coveted Skate Of The Year trophy in 1999 and has countless wins across many of skating top competitions in his 18 years of being pro. Although Brian has always been accepted and loved as one of skating’s best pros for many he has kept his sexuality and personal life a secret even from some of his closest friends. In this short documentary made by legendary skateboard photographer and videographer Giovanni Reda, Brian alongside some of his best friends discuss being gay in the professional skateboarding industry and why he chose now to come out. This documentary has only cemented my love for Brian and his skating and I’m so happy for him to be finally comfortable in an industry that can accept him for who he is not who he loves.
Keep killing it Brian!
